☆ Bat Attack !!☆ (check out the bat)

☆McAwesome Day !☆

I know, nobody says awesome anymore except me. What can I say, i'm a child of the eighties. If I could relive the great eighties, sign me up, count me in. A great eighties revival. Some of my greatest memories, experiences, ect happened in that decade and i'll always be a eighties child. I wonder if I started wearing leg warmers again if they would catch on ?

What can I say ? I did have an awesome day. I got up early, spent the morning with friends. I went and looked at a friend's computer, helped him set up some things and checked out his new moniter. He has a cute little place with the most magnificant view of The Bay of Fundy from his livingroom window. We went to go to Shopper's Drugmart for afew items and decided to go out to lunch. He asked if I was going home after and I mentioned that no, I actually was going to call a mutal friend and go out for a coffee with her.

He suggested ringing her up and inviting her out to lunch with us. What a wonderful idea ! So it was off to lunch for the three of us. I enjoyed the time spent with my new friends. Very much did I enjoy thier company.I'm slowly making new friends in this new place.

Alot of the time, I miss that the most, catching up with friends over long lazy breakfasts or a three hour cup of coffee at Tim's. Not to mention what a gorgeous sunny fall day we had today. Actually, it was a perfect day for venturing out indeed. I think that today I had perma grin.

This evening I relaxed and played around in Paint Shop Pro. My results of the evening :

I think it's slowly coming back, my creative energy. People get writer's block......i get PSP block. Same thing with my sketching or painting. Sometimes it flows and sometimes nothing but a huge vast blank void. I can sit here and stare at my bits and bobs, but nothing.

Anyways, sometimes you just need a kick start or alittle bit of inspiration. I found a dose of inspiration at Urban Fairtales. She has some beautiful mini page kits and little frames and gorgeous masks availible for download. Some pieces are very intricate and delicate, very unique work the she generously shares with us digital scrap lovers.

Till next time : )

☆ All I Want For Christmas... ☆

♪All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth ♪
Christmas is just around the bend and I don't want much at all. I've thought about it and my list is pretty small. Maybe because I know it's been a tight year wallet wise and not just for me. Or, i've had other things to worry about this year never mind Christmas. I usually am the first one to get in the mood, and last year I was almost done my shopping by now. I've not even started, not even close.
My Christmas list is pretty small actually. All I want this year is gift cards to American Eagle :

<----gift card makes for happy Bella!

The only other thing is i've used up all perfums.....A girl has got to smell good. I know that I used to wear Notorious by Ralf Lauren, but at the perfum counter. One of the sales girls gave me a sample of this totaly delish smelling fragrance and now I would adore a bottle of it ! Black XS by Paco Rabanne.

<-------makes for delish smelling Bella !

Yes.....a girl has to smell good....at least this one does : )

☆ The Seals!! The Seals!!☆

Living on the Bay of Funday is interesting to say the least. I heard that we do get seals around here, but I really was not expecting to actually see any. I went out to the Irving Nature Park for a hike, took my camera of course. I ended up at one of the look-outs and saw a cruise ship out in the distance. It must of been just leaving port. I knew that it would come by my way on it's way out to sea. Not one to miss a photo op, I waited patiently for the ship to get closer.

While I was standing there, waiting for eternity for the ship, I heard a very strange noise. I looked down at the water, puzzled indeed when I heard the noise again. I realized that the water was full of seals ! Seals just playing around and hanging out on some rocks out in the water. I forgot all about the ship, i was so excited for seeing the seals. I do wish that they had been on the rocks along the coast line.

I started snapping like crazy to capture them. I was not sure that they would show up at all. Thank gosh that with the Canon Eos Rebel, the photos are humungous. They give you lots of room to crop and play with......very good seeing as I had to crop the pic ALOT inorder for the seals to show up well. Otherwise, it would have looked like a photo of water with afew blobs floating around.

It still looks furry, but it works for now. I'm going to have to buy myself a really wicked high telephoto lens ! Next year i'll be out there, making sure I get some really great seal photos. Here is another photo, one of the little cuties was bieng playful, I wonder if he knew he was on film ?

I shrunk the photo so it would fit on my blog, lol. I think it overshrunk ! You can see three blobs aka seals hanging out on the rock to the left and the playful seal jumping through the water : ) He almost looks like a dolphin, I hear we get those around here at times too.

Open Clarey Lovebirds Frame 3.
Copy and paste this as a new layer on your canvas.
Open your tube, copy and paste her as a new layer above yourframe layer.
Take the image copy from your tube and paste it below your frame layer.
On your frame layer, take your raster deform tool and gently pull the left side of the frame towards your image so that there is no blank white space and your image fills the frame. Essencialy, we're shrinking this frame to accomodate the image.Once finished, go to your tube layer, add a drop shadow.

Make your frame layer active.
Magic wand, click inside this, Selections invert.
Make your top tube layer active again, and with your eraser, erase the parts hanging over the BOTTOM of the frame.
We do NOT want to erase the top of your tube's head.
Selections, select none.
Click inside your frame again with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand by 4, selections, invert. Make your image layer active, hit delete on your keyboard.
Selections, select none.

Add a drop shadow to your frame layer. X out your bottom layer, layers, merge visable. Now you can move this portion and make it more centered on your canvas without trying to move pieces of it around.

☆Blah? ☆

Notice the blog entry title. Sometimes, I have no idea what to name my blog entries so I think that "blah" is sufficiant in that instance. However, I don't want to end up with ahundred blog entries named "blah" either. It's raining and the whole eveing has been rather blah.

My laptop is acting up. I don't know what it's problem is but it keeps freezing and it's had me at wits end. There's nothing on T.V, it's raining and wet, Halloween is over, please don't take the internet away too ! Now that's asking for a complete meltdown. I am of the internet generation. E-mailing, IMing, Twittering, Googling 30 something gal. My world without internet would be thrown into complete chaos. I don't even want to think about it.

So, I spent the evening trying to give my Laptop intensive care. Once I got it working somewhat, I set down to an evening of playing in PaintShop. My creative mind seems to have taken a hike or it's feeling under the weather as well. This is the cummulation of my efforts.

I found the cute little frame at a blog called Urban Fairytales. <--Click to go see. I found alot of very unique artsy little bits and bobs of scrappy type elements and mini page kits. Very different and in a very good way. I used to make siggies or tags or whatever all the time. Then I got into digital scrapbooking and really enjoyed that until my desktop crashed with all my good stuff. My laptop does not support that type of activity. It does not have that kind of memory. I'm lucky I can make tags on it. I'll take it for now : )
